Saudia Now Operating at Phuket International Airport

On December 2, 2024, AOT Ground Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (AOTGA) hosted a welcome event for Saudia Airlines, which has chosen AOTGA’s ground handling services at Phuket International Airport (HKT). The event was led by Mr. Thanakorn Srihamart, Vice President - Phuket International Airport, Mr. Paruehass Prommachan, Operations Director - Phuket International Airport, Ms. Saranya Modchana, Passenger Services Manager, and the AOTGA Phuket International Airport team. They warmly received Mr. Mohammad Khairuldin, Station Manager – BKK, along with the Saudia Airlines cabin crew on the airline’s inaugural flight from King Khalid International Airport (RUH) to Phuket International Airport (HKT).

The inaugural flight, SV0852, operated with a Boeing B787-900 aircraft, landed at Phuket International Airport at 10:30 PM local time. The return flight, from Phuket International Airport (HKT) to King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED), departed at 11:45 PM local time.

Saudia Airlines, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is the national carrier of Saudi Arabia. Founded in 1945, the airline’s primary hub is at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Saudi Arabia. In 1962, Saudia became the fourth airline in the region to introduce jet aircraft into its fleet, with the acquisition of two Boeing 720 aircraft. Over the decades, Saudia expanded its routes to serve over 121 destinations worldwide by late 2023. Looking forward, the airline has set an ambitious goal to expand its network to 250 destinations globally by 2030.
