On April 1, 2026, AOT Ground Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (AOTGA) welcomed the inaugural flight of Greater Bay Airlines, Flight HB270, operating on the Hong Kong–Phuket route. The flight, operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft, arrived at Phuket International Airport at 10:10 PM (Thailand time).
Mr. Siriwat Tovachirakul, President of AOTGA, assigned Ms. Lawan Sawatdiraksa, Passenger Services Manager – Phuket International Airport, and Mr. Thanadon Badeepong, Baggage Handling Manager, along with the AOTGA team, to represent the company in welcoming Mr. Thanawat Banterng, Passenger Services Supervisor, and Mr. Lo Chuen Fai Ivan, Ground Services Supervisor (Ramp & Cargo), representing Greater Bay Airlines, as well as the captain, crew, and passengers on this inaugural flight.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Greater Bay Airlines, based in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, was established to enhance connectivity within the Greater Bay Area and key cities across Asia. The airline aims to deliver quality travel experiences with convenience at accessible prices. The launch of this direct Hong Kong–Phuket route marks a significant milestone in expanding flight connectivity to Phuket, a world-class tourism destination.
This new route enhances travel options between Hong Kong and Thailand, offering greater convenience for tourists and travelers while strengthening regional connectivity with improved efficiency and seamless travel experiences.
