AOTGA Welcomes Akasa Air at Phuket International Airport

On September 20, 2025, AOT Ground Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (AOTGA) welcomed Akasa Air on the occasion of its inaugural flight QP0618 operating the route Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) – Phuket International Airport (HKT).

The flight, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX, landed at Phuket International Airport at 02:35 p.m. (Thailand time). This marks Akasa Air’s confidence in selecting AOTGA as its ground handling service provider. Mr. Siriwat Tovachirakul, President of AOTGA, assigned Mr. Thanakorn Srihamart, Vice President - Phuket International Airport, along with the AOTGA team, to represent the company in welcoming Mr. Belson Coutinho, Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Harjinder Singh Bhasin, Vice President – Airports, representing Akasa Air.

To commemorate the launch, a special ticket was presented to the first passenger of the flight, celebrating Akasa Air’s first entry into Southeast Asia. The airline will also introduce an additional direct route between Bengaluru and Phuket starting October 1, 2025, aligning with Phuket International Airport’s strategy to expand its international route network.
