AOTGA Preserves Buddhist Art through CSR Initiative “Volunteer Restoration of Buddha Images for Social Value”

AOT Ground Aviation Services Co., Ltd. (AOTGA) organized the CSR project “Volunteer Restoration of Buddha Images for Social Value” to promote social and environmental responsibility. The initiative aims to cultivate a spirit of volunteerism and encourage employees to actively contribute to community development, while supporting the preservation of Buddhism and local cultural heritage. This aligns with AOTGA’s sustainability policy, which integrates business operations with social and environmental responsibility.

The project began by inviting employees from the Planning & Administration Department and Aircraft Cleaning Department to participate alongside the volunteer group “Dek Som Phra” (Young Buddha Restorers) at Wat Lat Pla Khao in Bangkok. Activities included cleaning Buddha statues, applying protective coatings, and restoring them with gold leaf, transforming deteriorated statues into beautifully restored sacred objects for continued reverence by the Buddhist community.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, the “Volunteer Restoration of Buddha Images for Social Value” project not only helps preserve religious sites but also reflects the unity and dedication of AOTGA personnel in contributing positive value to society. AOTGA remains committed to continuing such public benefit initiatives to create smiles and promote sustainable communities, while continuously enhancing service excellence and elevating Thailand’s ground handling standards.
