Air India Express Introduces Direct Flights from India to Phuket

On January 31, 2025, AOT Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA) organized a welcome ceremony for Air India Express, which has selected AOTGA as its ground handling service provider at Phuket International Airport (HKT).

The event was led by Mr. Thanakorn Srihamart, Vice President - Phuket International Airport, Mr. Paruehas Prommachan, Operations Support Director - Phuket International Airport, Mr. Amornsak Rungreungsri, Director of Passenger Services – Phuket International Airport, along with the AOTGA Phuket team, who warmly welcomed the inaugural flight.

The inaugural flight, operating on the route Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) – Phuket International Airport (HKT) under flight number IX910, was operated by an Airbus A320-200. The aircraft landed at Phuket International Airport at 5:35 p.m. and departed again at 6:20 p.m. (Thailand time).

Air India Express is a low-cost airline from India, established in 2005, with its main base in Gurgaon, India. The airline is highly popular among Indian travelers, operating more than 45 routes across India, as well as destinations in Central and Southeast Asia, with over 2,000 flights per week.

Air India Express is also the 71st airline customer to place its trust in AOTGA’s ground handling services at Phuket International Airport.
