Thai Smile Airways, a full-service airline, has announced the launch of its new destination from Chiang Mai to Bangkok (Don Mueang), providing a convenient alternative to travel for travelers. Thai smile Airways is one of the leading regional airlines in Asia.
On 25 February 2022, the inaugural flight WE1175 arrived at Don Mueang International Airport at 09.45 p.m. and the aircraft, Airbus 320 (A320), was welcomed by a traditional water salute upon landing. The commencement ceremony was held to celebrate the inaugural flight with a special event. Capt. Apitat Limpisvasti, Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Thai Smile Airways attended the inaugural flight ceremony of Thai Smile’s flight WE1175. Also in attendance were Wing Commander Ronnakorn Chalermsanyakorn, Deputy Director of Operations of Don Mueang International Airport, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) and Ms. Amornrat Kritsophon, President, AOT Ground Aviation Service Company (AOTGA) to extend their congratulations to the airline stressing the opening of the new direct flight.
